I seem to be having a very inspirational day...I have a friend (maybe the one person who reads this so hi, Laura!) who often imagines that people hate her. Based on absolutely no evidence except that maybe these people have ignored her once in the halls or given her an unintentional mean look. But something that she brought to my attention was this:
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter." ~Dr. Seuss
True about friendship. Your true friends won't want you to change, and those who want you to change shouldn't matter to you. Assuming that you are not an evil villain in a movie, of course.
Also, this is important to remember about body image as well, because if the guy or girl you like doesn't like you because of your body, they are not worth it. Hard to hear, but seriously...it's true. If you are obese medically, the person who truly loves you will not care. They may want you to be healthy, but they don't care if you are healthy and fat. So you shouldn't care either...so many diets nowadays simply focus on getting the customer to lose weight, rather than teaching them good eating habits or how to be healthy. Losing weight and being healthy are not the same thing.
